On September 8, at the AGBU backyard, “Coping with crisis” event organized by Pecha Kucha Yerevan and Kiraki Development Foundation took place. The event was held within the framework of the “Labour action: Collaborative Effort for Accountable and Inclusive Employment’ project co-financed by the European Union and “Mitigating the Impact of COVID-19 through Community-Led Interventions “ co-financed by the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific (JFPR).
During the “20-slide x 20-second” discussions, our speakers raised a number of questions about coping with crisis and revitalising the labour market to increase resilience against economic shocks, the longer-term perspective of short-time workers in the current crisis, social protection for self-employed workers that is robust to economic crises and resilient models for school-to-work transitions of younger workers.
What does it take to live such a life? What does it teach if you live such a history? How far did we go in our resilience to the crisis? We heard from psychologists, managers, communicators, and doers. We had a line-up of speakers who came up with stories about successes and failures which can inform, embarrass and train us.
